Inspection of AC Switchgear – Indoor & Outdoor

Our electrical inspectors can inspect many AC Switchgear types, which are used throughout the distribution network for both primary and secondary applications. The kinds of AC switchgear that are typically reviewed include air-insulated and gas-insulated panels. The inspector can check that the correct choice of gas, vacuum circuit breakers are used in the switchgear. They can also check that the proper voltage range is used with ratings to achieve various international standards and requirements.

Areas where the switch gear inspection can cover:

Trip circuit supervision, self-diagnostics & position indication contacts.
Voltage Presence Indication System (VPIS) fitted to the panels (circuit).
Vacuum interrupters.
Endurance testing reviews.
Disconnector selector mechanisms, animated front panel mimic, and a front access cable test facilities.
Internal arc containment.
On-board electronics testing for trip circuit supervision and self-diagnostics.

Silicone rubber bushings are resistance testing reviews.
Checking that the GVR has been correctly configured to function like a Switch, Sectionaliser, or Recloser.
